Child dedication is important and acknowledges the God-given responsibility parents have to raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). During the dedication, parents will make a commitment before the Lord to raise their children according to God's Word and God's ways. The church is also a partner of the dedication, committing to partner with parents to help instruct by word and example, pray for the children, and pray for the parents.
