ABOUT US

Mountain View Community Church exists to make fully devoted followers of Jesus who call on God’s power to boldly and lovingly reach our neighbors, the next generation and the nations for Christ. Our facility sits on 20 acres in Southern Frederick County, located just outside of Urbana and less than an hour North of Washington, DC.

In 2021, we also planted a campus in Ballenger Creek community. This campus is part of our vision, which is to reach Frederick 4 Christ! The campus has made its home at Ballenger Creek Elementary School.

Between both campuses, we are a church that currently averages over 1,000 in regular worship attendance each week (nursery through adults).

Our Core Values

#1 Grace & Truth

We value relationships rooted in Grace and Truth, where the humility, compassion, and love of Christ are on display in word and deed and where God's truth is not minimized.

#2 Worship & Wellness

We value Worship and Wellness, where everyone is growing, where one's walk with God comes first, where people are authentic, and where work and service are an outgrowth, not a substitute for, worship.

#3 Spirit-Led

We value being Spirit-Led, constantly seeking what God wants us to do. Depending solely on him, and not bound by policies, planning, limited perspective, or past ways of doing things.

#4 Community

We value being in Community with one-another during weekend worship services, as well as in our groups and teams.

#5 God-Centered Diversity

We value God-Centered Diversity, where all people are welcome and wanted. Where one's unique gifts, contributions, and ideas are valued and sought, and everyone is invited to follow Jesus.

#6 Equipping

We value Equipping others to do the work of the ministry.

#7 Intentionality

We value Intentionality, taking the initiative in all we do, whether it be presenting the Gospel to a non-believer, discipling or shepherding a believer, or reaching out in love to someone different from us.

#8 Accountability

We value Accountability to God and His Word, humbling submitting to one another, as well as to our mission, vision, beliefs, values, and leaders.

#9 Unity

We value Unity and strive to maintain it by humbly embracing our core (1) Beliefs, (2) Mission & Vision, and (3) Values.
